Poor P Diddy

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Fuel prices have grounded an unexpected frequent-flyer: Diddy.
Sean "Diddy" Combs complained about the "... too high" price of gas and pleaded for free oil from his "Saudi Arabia brothers and sisters" in a YouTube video posted Wednesday.
The hip-hop mogul said he is now flying on commercial airlines instead of in private jets, which Combs said had previously cost him $200,000 and up for a roundtrip between New York and Los Angeles.
"I'm actually flying commercial," Diddy said before walking onto an airplane, sitting in a first-class seat and flashing his boarding pass to the camera. "That's how high gas prices are. I'm at the gate right now. This is really happening, proof gas prices are too high. Tell whoever the next president is we need to bring gas prices down."

How can we call ourselves a civilized nation if a man of Diddy's talents has to fly on a commercial airplane? Such a tragedy.

Mr. McKay

I actually find this very funny. Sure "Diddy" has to stop riding private jets, but in truth things are worse for poorer families who need cars to get around. These families have to sacrifice things just to have gas while Diddy still has money to spare, heck he's still riding in first class is he not?

Also things won't get better anytime soon, with so few refineries there isn't enough gasoline being produced. Maybe one day gas prices will be lower but there isn't a short term solution in the long run.

I though it would never see this day come
especially from him !
The thing i don't understand is if he can go buy a 200,000 diamond necklace
why not just keep flying ?

Things are not going to get better as far as gas. so i guess i can see where hes coming from but i think he is just trying to be like everyone els in this world as far as spending money !

I'm not sure if Diddy just doesn't want to pay the price or literally can't afford to pay for the gas. Because he seems to be wasting thousands of dollars away on other luxuries.

I do not understand why such wealthy people complain about the prices of gasoline. After all they are the ones with money flying out of their pockets. But instead of helping the needy with that money, they simply argue to the working class about how much of an inconvenience it is to ride in a plane instead of a private jet. Even when there are people who barely find enough money to take the city bus, we have a famous citizens who complain about not having a private jet.

Its sad that he's actually complaining about having to fly on a commercial airline. If he's really worried about the gas prices he wouldn't be bothered about having to fly like the rest of the working class, but upset about the rate at which we are using our natural resources, such as petroleum

I find it humurous that someone who makes substantually more than anyone with a normal paycheck and has multiple 100K plus gas sucking cars that probably get about 6 mi./gal of gas is complaining about the gas prices being too high.

My problem with this is that in all actualality the gas prices going up about about a dollar from a year ago will not make that much more of a dent in ones paycheck unless that person is sitting on the fence of going bankrupt.

For example, let's say you drive about 10000 miles a year (most in Lubbock don't even come close to this). If your car gets 20 mi./g your spending $1750 at 3.50 whereas a year ago at 2.50 your spending $1250. That's only a $500 dollar difference in a years salary, and if your making millions of dollars a year, $500 shouldn't be a big deal at all

I think it's good that Diddy can now get a taste of reality- in a sense, not being able to afford private jets. Poor guy.. maybe we'll see him around on some commercial flights!

Wow... I feel so sorry for the pilots of his private jets. No matter what you get to fly, it's not worth it if your clients are jerks.

It's pretty pathetic that when "Diddy" gets on a commercial flight he doesn't even remember all his working-class fans who are really the only reason that he can afford his extravagant lifestyle. Assuming that the majority of his fans aren't super-high-class, the economy is hitting them in much harder ways... though I'm not sure I can understand why they would choose to "invest" any of their money into "Diddy" with our economy in the state it's in.

I just watched the video... and you know, it's sure nice for him to remind his fans that "Even yo boy is affected by gas prices." I bet they're happy to know he's suffering, too!

He probably has several SUVs and sports cars, so instead of having to "suffer" by flying like normal people, who by the way most cant even afford to fly right now, he could possibly sell a car...or two!

Many parts of society right now are worried about losing their house, but he's worried about commercial airplanes???

- hahaha i find this story very funny, and i also watched it on t.v. which makes it even better. Personally I think its a tad bit ridiculous hes complaining about flying first class.. thats too bad? There are too many other things to focus on and worry about than P Diddys discomfort about not riding in his private jet. But to each their own!

Wow what a selfish man!!! Too bad no one cares to listen to any of his complaining about the gas prices. Personally I think that Diddy, being one of the most wealthy people in the world, is just making himself look like a complete idiot! It's too bad that he was complaining about not being able to ride in his private jet, while there are so many other people who can't even afford to ride on a plane period. I personally think his youtube video helped diminish his popularity!

Wow, any respect for Diddy I might have had before is now gone. I can't belive he is publicly complaining about having to fly on commercial planes when there are families who wake up every day not even knowing whether they are going to eat that day. I mean sure, everyone is having to make sacrifices because of the gas prices and nobody is happy about it, but putting something like that on YouTube just makes Diddy look selfish and ignorant.

Being able, or not able to fly around the country in a private plane is no way to judge gas prices. Diddy could very well be driving his thousands of cars to see gas prices are too high. Pleading his "brothers and sisters" for free oil is plain pointless. Who would give thousands dollars worth of gasoline to someone like Diddy? He's blowin his money on everything but gas.

lao8466 said...

oh I'm so sorry diddy! If you really want to help out on gas prices... Completely cancelling your commercial airplane isn't going to help. If he knew anything about the economy he would know how supply and demand works.

The little respect i hac for p.diddy has left me. That is rediculous.

I just think that Diddiy's behavior makes American society look bad. In other countries around the world, people have real problems like not having enough money to buy food or find shelter for their family, much less even thinking about flying on a plane. Him complaining so much about having to fly on a commercial airline is just rediculous and Diddy should really be thankful for all that he does have.

I think it is funny how the people who have tons of money complain about the price of gasoline. Instead of riding in a regular airplane with the rest of us who have to participate in hard labor everyday to earn our money for a living, they want to sit there complain about how much money it will cost them to fuel their "private jet." If the cost of gasoline is that much of an inconvenience for him, then why did he buy buy the jet?

Izaque Reyes 6th said...

His complaining is just another way for him to try and constantly be the center of attention and continue to believe that he's above all the rest of us.

I think that it is good for celebs like Diddy to get a taste of the REAL American culture. Yes, gas prices suck , but all of us have to endure it. While Diddy is flying all over the world on ( oh no) commercial planes, the CHS band can't even go to a football game in El Paso. Poor pitiful Diddy; welcome to reality.

it's fuuny how Diddy is complaining about not having enough money to fly around the country with his private jet. this just shows that no matter how rich a person is, he is also affected by how high gas prices are!

caitlinkender6th said...

All p. diddy is good for is hiring people to find people with actually talent to make records and taking the credit himself without doing any work..
and throw in him getting some extra camera time for himself too.

he has so much room to complain.

this comment is late, sorry!

He has to travel first class? Poor him. Yeah, gas prices are high, but someone throwing their money away like he does has very little room to complain...

KyleHill5 said...

he should quit complaining and realize other people would love to ride first class or in some cases just get to travel

I suppose that for someone who is use to the special treatment like P. Diddy is, being pushed into using commercial flights would seem ridiculous but most Americans already do that. In all honesty it seems ridiculous that he is complaining about something like this when many people don't even get to ever go in a plane. Now he gets a taste of what most average americans have to deal with and maybe he will have more consideration.

Anonymous said...

i think this is freakin funny that it has actually came down to people who own there own jets to not use them anymore because of gas prices. but he still flies first class which is pretty awsome and he complains about it? thats not right.

I think it is really sad to see p.diddy complain about having to fly on a commercial jet. Some people just wish they could just afford to take a flight instead of drive to every place they want to visit. Just goes to show you how ignorant and selfish some people are.

Awww poor thing.. He has to fly FIRST class. ha Sometimes you dont see all that you have, And all the privileges you have till something like high gas prices restricts your privileges.

JeremyGiovannetti said...

Hah yes, our "Saudi Arabian brothers and sisters" will free up the oil for you Diddy, maybe someone over the is a fan of "making the band". Hah You know things are getting out of control when ditty cant afford something.

It is sad to see P.Diddy complain about having to fly first class. He should be thankful that he even has the money to fly, because there are lots of people in America that can't afford the luxury. Celebrities such as P.Diddy are so out of touch with society that they don't realize how much of a toll oil prices have taken of the common man. Diddy should be thankful to even get to fly because there are people in America that don't even get to drive due to oil prices.

Thats somewhat disturbing...Diddy has totally forgotten what it's like to be an average American. We are hit harder by the repercussions of high gas prices as well as the gas prices themselves, but I'm sure he wouldn't understand that. I wonder how much he'd be willing to pay for milk?

Unknown said...

it's kinda stupid how he complains about everything, when he has so much already (more than the average american). so what if he can't fly on his private jet, shouldn't he have to experience what everyone else is going through as well? and just because he says we should have lower gas prices doesn't mean we will, we all want lower gas prices why aren't there articals about the average american instead of some stuck up star who has to have everything so perfect or throw a huge hissy fit.

Jordan Aguirre said...

I think that Diddy's pain is everyone's pain. If he's is unhappy isn't everyone else? He's the heart and soul of America!!! Without him who would we be????? 50 cents America? That is definitely a step down. I say we all stop using oil so that way the price goes down and that way diddy can be happy!!! yay!

poor diddy isnt able to ride in luxury anymore, now i guess he is one of us.

Nick Wargo 3 said...

If somone so rich can complain about high gas prices, this proves how the prices are effecting us all. Diddy still shouldn't complain about flying first class. I'm sure it's different than having a whole plane to himself, but I fly with southwest Airlines, and everything is coach. There is no first class.

coleblackstock5 said...

Take a chill pill diddy, that private jet of yours can wait, maybe for a year or so but it can wait. I bet you diddy used his American express card and got all those free flying miles. He's just flying commercial cause it's free.
